MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Work in a development team tasked with supporting and developing middle and back office applications
- Work closely with the wider technology team to co-ordinate new development requests.
- Develop and maintain the firm-wide trade service responsible for delivering live trade data.
- Independently design and implement new services or applications in response to business requirements.
- Support data exchange with third-party vendors, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and timely delivery.
- Provide production support, collaborating with platform and SRE teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:
Essential
- 8+ years commercial experience of hands-on C# (primary), Java or Python development.
- 5+ years commercial experience in a relevant area of finance.
- 5+ years commercial experience with MS SQL Server.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience with a scheduling tool such as Airflow.
- Comfortable with handling large volumes of financial data
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with various dev tools such as Visual Studio, IntelliJ, PyCharm, GitHub, Datadog etc.
- Experience with web services.
