Quality Team Lead- BIW

To lead, direct, and support quality techs in the BIW department safely and efficiently, to coordinate and communicate with other departments, follow safe work methods, and to conform to the Employee’s Charter principles and plant standards. The function of a Quality Tech Team leader is to help coordinate and oversee the flow of quality product into and out of the BIW.  He is the designate in case of an absence by the Area Quality Leader.  He also helps in the disposition of parts.  Job includes doing necessary audits or other means to ensure customer and Quality Assurance standards are being met and maintained

Purpose of job is to ensure BIW parts and processes are audited and documented for Customer and Kamtek and they meet all documented customer expectations. Give BIW team/lines approval or not to proceed with production, support plant needs as necessary.

Responsible for the operation of the BIW quality techs and area on a day-to-day basis.  Responsible to train and assign employees in keeping the area running efficiently and ensuring that the needs of employees are met and to meet internal and external customer needs.  Also, drive FTC in jobs, meeting needs the first time with no personal injuries or mechanical accident, and supporting the policies and procedures of Kamtek.  The Team Leader is also responsible for providing leadership to the quality techs while promoting the Employee’s Charter and Operational Principles.
