POSITION DESCRIPTION
You are responsible for ensuring that all fabrication, assembly, and glazing operations produce curtainwall components that meet design, dimensional, and aesthetic requirements.
Act as the front-line authority for product quality, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and customer standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Manage Daily Operations on Shop Floor including leading inspectors, enforcing process controls, resolving nonconformances, and driving continuous improvement to reduce rework and scrap.
Manage and Sustain Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plan for Site and Projects.
Site Quality Metric Owner
Key Quality Partner and Liaison between Operations, Field, Manufacturing, and Engineering.

EXPERIENCE
Preferred Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quality
Minimum of 5+ years in manufacturing quality – ideally in curtainwall, façade, precision fabrication or assembly, or ETO.
At least 2+ years in leadership/supervisory role
Strong Knowledge of mechanical inspection methods, tolerances, and finishes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or QMS standards.
Lean/Six Sigma Experience preferred
Overview
Quality Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and manage all quality functions across multiple curtain wall manufacturing sites.
- Develop and implement site-wide quality strategies, systems, and standard operating procedures.
- Establish clear quality expectations, metrics, and accountability standards throughout manufacturing operations.
- Drive a culture focused on quality, continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
- Serve as the primary quality leader for manufacturing operations and customer-related quality concerns.

Team Leadership & Development
- Directly supervise Quality Leads and Quality Technicians across both facilities.

- Develop training programs and certification processes for quality personnel and production teams.

Manufacturing Quality Oversight
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities for curtain wall systems and components.
- Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, glazing requirements, and customer standards.
- Monitor production processes to identify quality risks, recurring defects, and process variation.
- Partner with Production and Engineering teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive root cause analysis investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Ensure non-conforming materials and products are properly identified, segregated, documented, and dispositioned.
- Support implementation and maintenance of quality control plans, inspection checkpoints, and testing requirements.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Lead initiatives focused on reducing scrap, rework, warranty issues, and customer complaints.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices related to quality systems and processes.

- Maintain quality documentation including inspection records, corrective actions, deviation reports, and audit findings.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of quality performance metrics to leadership.
- Support document control processes and revision management related to manufacturing specifications and procedures.
Customer & Supplier Quality
- Act as the primary escalation point for significant customer quality concerns.
- Coordinate investigations and corrective actions related to customer complaints and field quality issues.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Purchasing teams to address supplier quality concerns and incoming material performance.
- Participate in supplier evaluations, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
