We are looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor who will join our team.
This position will be based in Orrville, Ohio.
As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the quality and safety of our products at our manufacturing plant. Your attention to detail, commitment to best practices, and dedication to continuous improvement will be essential to our success in delivering top-tier products to our customers.
What you’ll do in this role:
• Continuous Improvement & Data Engineering: Drive OEE calculation improvements, cycle time reductions, and waste elimination. Analyze quality data and work cross functionally to complete root cause analysis on Quality issues.
• Team Leadership & Development: Manage and develop two Quality Associates. Oversee daily workflow, performance management, and career development.
• Corporate Liaison: Act as the primary quality interface for R&D and Corporate functions during New Product Introductions and formulation changes. Ensure R&D protocols are scalable at the plant level.
• Training & Cultural Change: Develop and deliver training for plant associates to elevate quality standards and operational discipline.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of audits and non-conformities. Ensure regulatory compliance (EPA/State).
• Floor Support: Conduct spot inspections and support safety protocols.
What you’ll need to be successful:
• Bachelor's Degree, Science, Engineering,
• ASQ CQIA, ASQ CQPA, ASQ CQA (desired)
• 2+ years in manufacturing operations, engineering, or quality with a demonstrated track record of process improvement
• Data Analysis & Tools: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, complex formulas) required. Familiarity with visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) is a strong plus.
• Ability to calculate and optimize manufacturing metrics (OEE, Cycle Time, Scrap Rates).
• Solid understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques and CAPA management. Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
• Change Leadership: Proven ability to drive process changes on the manufacturing floor and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
