Muvr builds the tools that make mobility networks and partner ecosystems more reliable, efficient, and safe. We connect carriers, fleet partners, and enterprise customers to deliver scalable mobility programs. Our Quality team ensures partners, data, and systems meet the high bar our customers expect — and that Muvr’s product behaves predictably at scale.
Role overviewThe Quality Specialist at Muvr ensures the integrity, reliability, and compliance of partner operations, transactional data, and product features. You’ll own operational audits, data and product QA, incident validation, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts. This role sits at the intersection of operations, data, and product — ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on testing, analytics, and driving systemic fixes that reduce risk and improve partner experience.
You will work closely with Partner Operations, Engineering, Product, and Partner Success to translate business requirements into test plans, validate integrations and data flows, and build scalable QA processes and automation.
Key Responsibilities- Design and execute QA plans for partner integrations, product releases, and operational changes (manual and automated).
- Perform regular data audits and reconciliations (transactions, trips, settlements) to detect anomalies, fraud, and data quality issues.
- Triage production incidents and partner escalations: validate issues, run reproducible tests, and document root causes and remediation steps.
- Create and maintain test cases, acceptance criteria, runbooks, and QA checklists for onboarding and feature launches.
- Build and run regression/smoke tests for key flows (API endpoints, reporting pipelines, reconciliation jobs) and maintain automation scripts where appropriate.
- Monitor quality KPIs and alerting: data freshness, failure rates, reconciliation variance, partner exception rates and SLA compliance.
- Partner with Engineering and Product to design reliable APIs, error-handling, and monitoring; help define integration contracts and acceptance tests.
- Conduct partner-facing audits and compliance checks; support dispute investigations and prepare evidence-based reports for finance/operations.
- Drive continuous improvement: identify recurring failure modes, propose process/tech fixes, and track remediation effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate QA documentation in Confluence/Notion and log issues in Jira/your PM tool.
Required
- 2–4 years in quality assurance, data QA, operations quality, or related roles at a SaaS, marketplace, logistics, or payments company.
- Strong data analysis skills — SQL fluency, advanced Excel/Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), and comfort reading logs or CSVs.
- Experience writing test plans, acceptance criteria, and reproducible test cases.
- Familiarity with incident/bug tracking tools (Jira, GitHub Issues) and documentation tools (Confluence, Notion).
- Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Customer-focused mindset and experience supporting partner or customer-facing investigations.
Preferred
- Experience with API testing (Postman, curl), test automation frameworks (Selenium, pytest, Playwright), or scripting in Python/JavaScript for QA automation.
- Background in mobility, logistics, payments, or marketplace platforms.
- Familiarity with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Mode) and basic data engineering concepts (ETL, data pipelines).
- Knowledge of reconciliation, settlement workflows, or compliance frameworks relevant to transportation/ logistics.
- Analytical rigor and pattern recognition (spotting small anomalies that indicate larger issues).
- Clear technical writing (documentation, runbooks, post-mortems).
- Stakeholder management — collaborate with Product, Eng, Ops, and Finance.
- Prioritization and risk-based testing (where to invest automation vs. manual QA).
- Curiosity and continuous improvement mindset.
SQL, Looker/Tableau/Mode, Postman/curl, Jira, Confluence/Notion, GitHub (or CI tools), Google Sheets/Excel, Slack, Zoom. Optional: Python/JS for automation, Selenium / Playwright for UI tests.
Why you’ll love working here- High-impact role: your work directly reduces partner friction, operational costs, and customer churn.
- Cross-functional exposure — you’ll partner with Engineering and Product on reliability and design.
- Learning opportunities across data engineering, product QA, and operations.
- Autonomy to build quality processes that scale as Muvr grows.
