Summary of Role 

We are looking for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our team as part of the MQA operation. The successful candidate will be responsible to oversee the operation of Quality systems relating to manufacturing and engineering processes, maintains compliance and procedures to achieve high-quality products.  

This position is based at our GlobalFoundries office at Bangalore, India. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Ensure compliance and consistent execution according to documented quality systems (PCRB / MRB / ICAR / ISHARE / FMEA / Calibration) 

  • Customer specific requirement (CuSR) execution and compliance enforcement 

  • Timely tracking of operational activities to ensure no delay according to schedule. (Validation, facilitation, system closure/ lot disposition, action item tracking)  

  • Timely tracking and publishing of operational KPIs and customer reports. 

  • Perform investigation on quality related incidents. 

  • Participation in continuous improvement activities to improve system/workflow robustness, overall quality, speed, and cost of operations. 

  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and work with business functions to implement corrective actions. 

  • Ready to get certified as Auditor and support the organization as Internal Auditor 

 

Required qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science is preferred; Masters from a top ranked university is a plus 

  • 2 ~ 3 years of work experience in quality assurance, process improvement, SPC or related field, high-tech and/or semiconductor experience is a plus.  

  • Auditor experience or certified ISO/IATF/VDA Auditor is a plus 

  • Project Management experience and certification (eg. PMP, IPMA) is a plus 

  • Fast learner, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with team members and stakeholders. 

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team 

  • Language Fluency – English (Written & Verbal) 

  • This position requires global time-zone coverage and hence you may have to report to work at timing accordingly. (SGP / DRS : 9AM to 6PM IST, US : 3PM to 11PM IST) 

 

Additional preferred qualifications: 

  • Hands on experience on problem solving/troubleshooting skills 

  • Working knowledge of ISO9001:2015/IATF16949 

  • Work experience with multi-national and cross functional environments 

  • Possess the right attitude to get results with a Growth Mindset
