Boeing Canada Winnipeg is seeking a Quality Manager, reporting to the Senior Quality Manager, to join the Quality Organization working out of the Winnipeg office.
As the largest composites manufacturer in Canada, Boeing Canada Winnipeg boasts a workforce of over 1,300 talented individuals and an impressive 800,000+ square foot facility dedicated to producing parts for all commercial airplane programs.
In this role, you will manage a team of highly motivated Quality Inspectors, Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) Technicians, and Computer Aided Measurement Systems (CAMS) Operators on the evening (2nd) shift.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees who inspect products and verify compliance with engineering requirements and company procedures.
- Takes ownership in achieving divisional targets and executes business plans, policies and procedures.
- Sets priorities and assigns resources to meet production requirements.
- Monitors appropriate metrics to ensure performance to plan and makes adjustments as needed.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees and holds direct reports accountable for achieving goals.
- Identifies improvement opportunities, leads organizational and technical strategies to improve performance and empowers employees to make process improvements.
- Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
- Conveys organizational messages and proactively communicates with employees, peers and other functions. Keeps others informed by communicating project status, conducting and participating in team meetings, providing presentations and listening to employee concerns and suggestions. Communicates policies and directives to enhance employee awareness of expectations.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Winnipeg Location.
This is a full-time permanent position on the Evening (2nd) shift.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing or Quality
- Experience working within quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), or Aerospace Standard (AS9100))
- Must have demonstrated leadership experience in a formal or informal setting
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills, organizational, decision-making, analytical, strategic planning and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally
- Must be able to work Evening (2nd) shift
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
- Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
- 3+ years of management/supervisory experience with responsibility for direct reports
- 3+ years of experience within the aerospace/ aviation industry
- Have completed a Boeing management or leadership program
- Experience in building strong relationships with partners, customers and suppliers in a cross-functional setting.
- Experience in evaluating, planning, analyzing, and developing quality tools, techniques and methods.
- Experience in dealing with personnel matters including recruitment, employee development and mentorship, performance evaluation and coaching
- A Technical Bachelor's degree or Diploma in related field

Salary base pay range - $114,500 - $138,500 CAD
