Description
Our business is growing quickly, and we need a Quality Manager to join our team to support our repairs of commercial, cargo and military aircraft components and parts. As the Quality Manager you will be responsible for the management of the quality assurance systems and other responsibilities as follows:
Requirements
Regulatory Oversight
- Maintains with a positive and trust-based relationship, the regulatory approvals for operations in Europe under the Part 145 Approval.
- Liaises closely with all applicable regulatory agencies (i.e., EASA, FAA) on all matters affecting the approvals, safety, and quality.
- Manages new approvals, certification projects and expansion of existing approvals.
- Adheres with corporate policies associated with Regulatory Compliance
- Stays abreast of industry and governmental regulation affecting compliance and brings to the attention of management changes that may affect the approvals/operations.
Operational Oversight
- Implements an independent audit program in which compliance with applicable requirements is reviewed at regular intervals.
- Ensures that the audit reports are accurate and fair representations of the facts.
- Ensures any observed non-compliance or poor standards are brought to the attention of the responsible managers concerned and promotes timely corrective actions.
- Provides reports and feedback to Accountable Manager.
- Assists and provides advice to the Engineering on the development of new processes/procedures related to Part 145 Approvals.
- Manage suppliers to the Part-145 operation including auditing and following up on corrective actions.
- Issues authorizations for all certifying staff, stores personnel and, quality staff in accordance with the procedures.
- Ensures all applicable regulatory and standard documentation are assessed and appropriately communicated.
- Develops processes and procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
- Stays abreast of industry and governmental regulation affecting compliance and brings to the attention of management changes that may affect the approvals/operations.
Management
- Expert knowledge of aviation maintenance standards particularly, EASA/FAA
- Experience interacting with the FAA.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Demonstrated analytical thinking skills
- Ability to use MS Office Programs
- Aeronautical, Aerospace, Industrial Electrical, Electronical or Mechanical Engineering Degree or, A minimum of five (5) years of quality assurance/regulatory compliance in civil MRO/Line Maintenance, Safety Management (SMS), Human Factors, or Quality Assurance.
Education, Experience and Skills
Successful Candidates need:
- A&P Certificate or License (or close to obtaining) required.
- Mechanic/Technician: at least 2 years’ experience, preferably more, and mechanically inclined.
- Mechanical and electrical aircraft experience preferable.
- Aeronautical, Aerospace, Industrial Electrical, Electronical or Mechanical Engineering Degree. Or A minimum of five (5) years of quality assurance/regulatory compliance in civil MRO/Line maintenance, Safety Management (SMS), Human factors, or Quality Assurance.
- Applicant must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Mechanically inclined with mechanical and electrical aircraft experience preferable.
Skills Required
- A&P Certificate or License (or close to obtaining)
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Aeronautical, Aerospace, Industrial Electrical, Electronical or Mechanical Engineering degree OR minimum of five (5) years quality assurance/regulatory compliance in civil MRO/Line Maintenance, SMS, Human Factors, or Quality Assurance
- Mechanic/Technician with at least 2 years' experience
- Expert knowledge of aviation maintenance standards, particularly EASA and FAA
- Experience interacting with the FAA
- Experience with Part 145 approvals and regulatory liaison (EASA, FAA)
- Ability to use MS Office programs
