Quality Inspection Responsibilities

  • Ensure internal and external documentation used for inspection is current.
  • Accurately record all inspection activities within the company’s ERP system.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and assembly prints.
  • Perform inspection using handheld tools and laboratory‑grade equipment.
  • Perform FAI using Net‑Inspect, Inspection Expert, CATIA, NX, or other CAD systems.
  • Verify assemblies and parts are free of FOD and non‑conformance issues.
  • Support RMA and MRR processes and ensure timely resolution of nonconforming product.
  • Participate in or lead RCCA investigations.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation efforts.
  • Assist with calibration system tasks as needed.
  • Train and mentor Quality Inspectors Levels I and II.
  • Program and operate advanced CMS equipment.
  • Assist with audits (internal, AS9100, customer, and 3rd‑party).
  • Make acceptance/rejection decisions using sound judgment.
  • Maintain an Ultra C-Lean work environment and adhere to all safety procedures.

 Team Lead Functions

  • Receives and communicates daily objectives from the Production/Operation Supervisor or Engineering Manager.
  • Oversees the daily workflow and instructs team members on assignments and expectations.
  • Monitors and reports incidents related to safety near misses, quality issues, inadequate work, training gaps, equipment malfunctions, employee attendance, and progress toward team goals.
  • Assists with or administers corrections to employee time-tracking and labor-balancing tasks.
  • Conducts performance evaluations of team members on or before the due date.
  • Provides positive and corrective feedback and documents coaching and disciplinary actions.
  • Coaches assigned training tasks and verifies training completion for all team members.
  • Conducts routine presentations reviewing key performance metrics with the team.
  • Facilitates Safety Talk trainings as assigned.
  • Maintains and reinforces Ultra C-Lean culture within the team.
  • Performs individual contributor inspection tasks as part of the team.
  • Performs any other reasonable tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
