Operating out of our San Marcos division, this role partners closely with engineering, operations, business development, and finance to achieve productivity, quality, cost, and revenue targets. You will play a vital role in upholding our commitment to technical capability, customer service, and product reliability for custom-engineered, high-performance cables designed for severe environments.
Leadership & Core Responsibilities
Quality Management System & Continuous Improvement
- QMS Administration: Propose and administer best practices across the entire organization to support an effective corrective action process and maintain quality systems.
- Corrective Action & Process Improvement: Maintain a robust corrective action process incorporating Six Sigma, Design for Manufacture (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Lean manufacturing principles across all functions.
- Performance Metrics: Assist in developing and monitoring business process performance metrics to drive enterprise-wide quality initiatives and continuous improvement.
Audit Execution & Compliance
- Quality Plans & Auditing: Assess customer, industry, and regulatory requirements to develop tailored quality plans and execute comprehensive audit plans ensuring total compliance.
- Audit Representation: Prepare for and represent the product group during customer, supplier quality, ISO, and related regulatory or export compliance audits.
- Supply Chain Quality: Support supplier qualification programs, First Article Inspections (FAI), and audits in conjunction with operations and supply chain management.
Customer Satisfaction & Technical Support
- Customer Collaboration: Drive a customer-centric total quality culture by supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, RMA processing, CAR resolution, and failure analysis.
- Technical Estimates: Assist sales and business development teams by reviewing customer quality requirements and providing accurate quality cost estimates.
Position Requirements
Education & Technical Qualifications
- Education: BS degree required.
- Experience: 3–5 years of quality experience in a design and manufacturing environment.
- Industry Domain: Demonstrated technical ability to perform root cause analysis, interpret engineering drawings, and measure components and assemblies specified to tight tolerances.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of customer, industry, export regulations, and regulatory standards across manufacturing operations.
Certifications & Competencies
- Certifications: Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing certifications preferred.
- Systems Proficiency: Experience using ERP/MRP systems, compiling databases, using spreadsheets, and knowledge of G-Suite.
- Core Competencies: Analytical thinker, strong problem-solving skills, customer alignment, and commitment to core values.

- Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 (DOE) per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree (BS) required
- 3-5 years of quality experience
- Proficiency with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing techniques
- Experience with measurement system analysis (MSA), DOE, and FMEA in design and manufacturing environments
- Ability to direct development and implementation of test and inspection programs to meet customer and regulatory standards
- Demonstrated root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and leading technical improvement initiatives
- Experience using data systems, ERP, and spreadsheets to monitor and drive continuous improvement
- Ability to measure components and assemblies to tight tolerances and measure/process yields
- Experience with process auditing
- Material Science engineering background or similar
- Familiarity with Google Enterprise and ADP
