Quality Engineer

OUR ROLE

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join Fiskars Group and play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products throughout their lifecycle.

In this role, you will act as a quality partner within cross-functional teams, supporting both new product development and in-market products to meet high performance, safety, and compliance standards. You will contribute to building better products by preventing failures, solving issues, and continuously improving how we work with quality across the organization.

This position is based in Espoo or Billnäs, Finland and reports to our Director, QEHS & Sustainability. The role is full-time, parental leave cover, and operates in a hybrid working model.

WHAT YOU’LL DO AT FISKARS

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Quality partner in cross-functional product development teams (R&D, Engineering, Procurement).

  • Define product quality requirements, critical-to-quality characteristics, and acceptance criteria.

  • Drive Design for Quality (DfQ) and ensure risk-based thinking is embedded early in development.

  • Plan and execute product validation activities (DV/PV) and coordinate testing (mechanical, chemical, safety, durability).

  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards (e.g., CE, REACH, RoHS).

  • Lead root cause analysis of product failures and customer complaints, driving corrective actions.

  • Analyse claims and field data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Sales, and Engineering to resolve product issues and improve quality performance.

WHO YOU ARE

Experience:

You are a structured, analytical, and quality-focused professional who enjoys solving problems and driving improvements in a collaborative environment. You bring both technical expertise and a customer-oriented mindset to ensure products perform reliably in real-life use.

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Engineering, or related field.

  • 3–8+ years of experience in quality engineering, product validation, or new product development.

  • Strong experience with validation methodologies and testing standards.

  • Hands-on experience with root cause analysis tools and problem-solving tools.

  • Experience working in regulated product environments is an advantage.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

  • Ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills in English.
