Job Summary**
Ensure the quality of products and processes within El Carmen Manufacturing Facility, driving continuous improvement and compliance with industry standards.
Job Responsibilities**
* Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and systems.
* Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
* Perform internal and external audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
* Monitor and analyze quality data, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
* Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to integrate quality into all stages of product development and manufacturing.
* Train and mentor production staff on quality best practices and standards.
* Manage non-conforming materials and products, ensuring proper disposition and documentation.
* Participate in new product introduction (NPI) processes to ensure design for quality and manufacturability.
* Prepare and present quality reports to management.
Required Skills and Education
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering ( Metallurgy, manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field).
* 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
* Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, 8D).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Experience with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) is a plus.
* ASQ certification (CQE, CSSBB) preferred.
