We have new opportunities for Quality Engineers within the Engine Assembly Facility based in Derby.
As a Quality Engineer, you will implement and deliver quality activities across the area, ensuring you drive continuous improvement & ensure compliance to all Rolls-Royce processes, procedures and systems. You will have governance of all quality related activity & be recognised as a key point of contact for all quality related issues within your area.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Quality Engineer, you will be the key point of contact for all quality related activity, queries & communication. You will ensure the continuous improvement of your respective area as well upholding all Rolls-Royce governance & policies, as well as:
Managing Customer Complaints using the relevant problem-solving tools ensuring issues are contained and investigated in a timely manner.
Manage and drive improvement of the Quality KPI-s and lead weekly quality reviews using the Quality Dashboard.
Coaching problem-solving activity using cross functional team.
Attend QN (Quality Notification) surgery to ensure parts are sentenced correctly and containment strategy in place.
Lead Improvements activities linked to BPD (Business Plan Deployment) Workstreams such as Human Factors / War on Damage.
Who we’re looking for:
To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
Experience working in a Quality, Business Improvement or Manufacturing Engineering role.
Good problem solving, data analysis and presentation skills.
Interpersonal savvy, planning and personal organisation skills and the ability to influence others.
Understanding of how organisations work and ability to use both formal channels and informal networks to get things done.
Demonstrable evidence of business acumen relating to quality, improvement, manufacturing and HS&E activities and priorities.
Good customer focus.
Please be aware that the priority will be given to employees identified as being at high risk.
The professional level and salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate but is anticipated to be SNBG 7 - 10.
This job is advertised at the grades shown, and this is the desired operating level for this role.
