About the role:

  • Responsible for leading quality activities to improve production and supplier quality standards, while reducing warranty costs, claims, early failures, and factory defects. Provide a positive customer experience through building strong relationships through timely problem resolution. Implement and monitor supplier programs and activities designed to approve, maintain, and improve supplier performance.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with Warranty, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier and other teams to ensure production/field issues are resolved in a timely manner for reducing top20 warranty claims and improving factory defect per unit
  • Maintain a Supplier Quality Management system that fully supports company initiatives and requirements. Responsible for managing the technical and quality relationship with the suppliers resulting in a reliable material supply, continuous performance improvement, and long-term partnerships. Represent Logisnext as the primary contact point regarding supplier product and process quality issues
  • Demonstrates leadership by providing technical expertise and facilitating support of cross functional initiatives involving Supplier Management, Production Procurement, Design, Manufacturing and Quality Engineering
  • Investigate supplier related defects on production lines. Initiate and follow-up on supplier corrective actions to ensure complete and effective root case analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Production Part Approval (PPAP) requirements & administration
  • Support Material Review Board (MRB) to reduce scrap and supplier defects impacting production
  • Always acts in a professional and courteous manner, representing Logisnext’ s highest standards of business conduct; exhibits a positive attitude, sharing information with co-workers as appropriate and works to promote a cooperative, productive teamwork environment

Qualifications

What you need to have:

  • BS/BA in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related technical field
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. 
  • Ability to read and interpret prints, drawings, and specifications
  • Must be technically knowledgeable and capable of understanding engineering and quality concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of auditing, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies such as ISO9001, Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA, Six Sigma
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels, both internally and with the supply base.
  • Position requires strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated effectiveness in employee development and team leadership

What would be nice to have:

  • Certified ISO Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor preferred
  • Proficient use of monitoring and measurement equipment used to provide evidence of product conformity
  • Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, CAPA, Kaizen or other focused improvement approach preferred

The salary for this position ranges from $60,500 to $85,000 annually. The specific salary for a successful candidate will depend upon, among other legitimate factors, education, training, and/or experience
