Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you as a Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring product and process quality at our Matamoros manufacturing facility. You will lead customer and internal complaint management, support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and oversee Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and MRB processes to achieve quality objectives and customer satisfaction.
You will collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality Technicians, and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, improve manufacturing processes, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. In this role, you will support quality system compliance, analyze performance metrics, and implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies.
About the Job:- Manage customer complaints and ensure timely, effective 8D responses.
- Lead internal complaint investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Supervise Quality Technicians to ensure process audits are completed on time.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by ensuring high-quality sample submissions.
- Analyze internal PPM performance and drive improvements using 8D methodology.
- Manage MRB activities and ensure material disposition meets established targets.
- Monitor and improve Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing and quality objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Location: Matamoros, Tamaulipas.
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field required.
Experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Experience managing customer complaints, internal quality issues, and corrective actions.
Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
Knowledge of MSA (GR&R), SPC, CPK, and statistical quality tools.
Experience with PPAP development and quality documentation.
Ability to work in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
Experience leading or coordinating Quality Technicians.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
Green Belt certification is a plus.
Conversational English communication skills.
