Position Summary

This position is for a Quality Engineer at our Anaheim, CA facility, reporting to our Quality Manager.  The Quality Engineer will perform a variety of operational functions that constitute the production, inspection and distribution of products or services for commercial and/or government customers.

Responsibilities 

  • Provide quality engineering support throughout all phases of product development 
  • Support manufacturing and development teams with process mapping, controls, SOPs, CAPA, inspections, and test procedures 
  • Develop inspection and testing strategies (tooling, fixtures, gauging, equipment) for incoming, in-process, and final inspections 
  • Maintain and control quality documentation 
  • Support supplier quality through inspections, root cause analysis, and corrective actions 
  • Plan and assist with quality audits to ensure compliance with QMS (ISO 9001 / AS9100) 
  • Perform First Article Inspections (AS9102) and final inspections as required 
  • Lead and support corrective action programs, including customer complaints and returns 
  • Oversee calibration, internal audits, and AS9100 management reviews 
  • Conduct risk assessments, FMEA, and control plan development 
  • Review and approve quality system procedures 
  • Manage nonconforming materials and engineering change processes (ECNs, CMAS) 
  • Support product testing and overall quality program initiatives

Requirements

  • BS in engineering or technical field.
  • Minimum of five years of QA experience in a regulated industry, aerospace industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality system regulations/requirements.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, CAPA, etc.
  • Understanding of statistical techniques (SPC, DOE, ANOVA, probability theory, sampling distributions, Minitab, etc.)
  • Experience in GD&T.
