Quanex is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team located onsite in St. Cloud, Minnesota or Mounds View, Minnesota.

As a Quality Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our products consistently meet the highest standards while helping drive innovation across our manufacturing operations. In this role, you'll lead quality initiatives, support and enhance our quality management system, conduct root cause analyses, and partner with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges. You'll also build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, serving as the trusted quality expert who helps improve processes, strengthen product reliability, and deliver exceptional results. Salary: $65,000-$80,000 annually, with bonus potential. Starting salary varies based on your experience.

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, hours may vary depending on business needs.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Partners with operations, manufacturing and product engineering, suppliers, and customers to develop quality standards and specifications.
  • Assure accuracy of quality documentation including hold tags, inspection reports, data collection, supplier inspection reports and test reports.
  • Develop and maintain supplier quality audit materials and supplier quality metrics.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams in problem solving sessions to establish definitive root cause and effective corrective actions for both internal and supplier quality issues.
  • Teach and train quality expectations and programs for new hires and host on-going quality trainings.
  • Lead document control program.

Your Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or Quality
  • 5-7 years’ experience in lieu of education
  • 5+ years of Quality experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ISO 9001 and Lean Six Sigma
