About the Quality Engineer Internship:
Gain hands-on experience supporting quality initiatives while developing an understanding of automotive quality requirements and steel manufacturing processes. You'll also build practical skills using business tools such as Salesforce, ETQ, Tableau, and other software to analyze data and support continuous improvement efforts.
Program Structure:
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer.
- Location: Cleveland, OH
- Start Date: May 2027
- Duration: Summer internship
What we're looking for:
- Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering or a related field.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Ability to succeed in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
What you'll focus on:
Assist in developing tools to streamline existing quality assurance (QA) processes.
Create dashboards and job aids to identify, organize, and extract information from existing data sources.
Support daily quality activities focused on serving automotive customers.
Analyze data and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across quality processes.
