Support and maintain ISO9001-based QMS, resolve customer and internal quality issues using root-cause tools, support product launches and changes, perform SPC/SQC and MSA activities, analyze quality metrics, manage calibrations, and conduct audits and document control.

Typical Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a POC for Customers, Suppliers, Equipment Manufacturers and Internal team members for Quality topics
  • Resolve Customer & Internal Quality issues in a timely, effective manner using appropriate tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Analysis, Mistake-Proofing, etc)
  • Review, transcribe & control Customer Quality requirements (drawings, specifications) 
  • Support & control new product launches and product, process, and equipment changes
  • Deploy, maintain the ISO9001-based QMS, including audits and document control
  • Analyze Quality data (PPM, FPQ, Process Capability, COPQ), taking action to minimize losses
  • Support SPC efforts and lead SQC activities
  • Manage measurement and calibration systems, including Measurement System Analyses and Long Term Stability (LTS)
  • Define and deploy incoming, in‑process, and final product verifications
  • Other activities may be assigned as needed
Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese 
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment
    • Built In Quality and Continuous Improvement experience
    • Working knowledge of SPC/SQC, MSA, 8D, 5 Why, FMEA and basic statistical data analysis
    • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and relevant standards & regulatory requirements
    • Practical experience with ISO 9001 and audit activities

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in Thermocouples and Temperature Calibration
  • Experience with production launches and customer or supplier audits
  • Experience with ISO17025 standard deployment

Skills Required
