QUALITY ENGINEER, wafer processing team
TEL is looking for a talented quality engineer to join the ranks of our wafer processing team in Albany, NY one of the largest R&D sites for TEL outside of Japan. As a key member of the wafer service processing team, you will be responsible for driving quality improvement in our operations as well as implementing best practices and training surrounding fab operations software.
Responsibilities
- Own quality review for integration routes release and audits.
- Cross-functional interface between engineering, operations, and external site partner.
- Drive and implement changes to improve best practices surrounding manufacturing software usage.
- Responsible for isolating excursions and immediately driving containment actions to minimize operational and customer product impact.
- Identify, create, and review specifications for incoming supplies & materials to ensure they meet fab requirements. Support change review board activities for the site.
- Implement, deliver, and maintain best practice training for in fab software operations.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, physics, or other applied engineering discipline
- 1+ years of professional experience in quality and/or semiconductor assembly and packaging (internship experience applicable)
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Advanced technical degree
- 3+ years industry experience in microelectronics manufacturing quality, integration and/or reliability
- Familiar with failure mode and effects analysis FMEA
- Hands-on SIVIEW MM/ SM expertise.
Salary Ranges$74,976.72 - $97,310.20
Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
