Position Overview

The Quality Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure) will join a team of highly passionate engineers who will be responsible for delivering the next generation of Alteryx Designer product to the cloud. We're looking for problem solvers, innovators, and dreamers who are searching for anything but business as usual.

The Quality Engineer will act as a liaison between Cloud Infrastructure team and development teams and help them with testing infrastructure changes and upgrades. This is a remote-friendly position.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and technical documentation to plan, develop and implement tests.

• Investigate impact of infrastructural changes and verify them by running both manual and automated tests.

• Enhance existing automation test frameworks by implementing additional test cases.

• Design and maintain quality reporting framework for cloud infrastructure.

• Review CI/CD pipelines and implement additional quality gates.

• Provide detailed problem analysis.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years' experience in a backend Quality Engineer role.

• MS/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience.

• Very good knowledge of backend testing.

• Experience with testing applications hosted in AWS, GCP or Azure.

• Experience with test automation.

• Experience with programming/scripting.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate successfully with both local and remote teams.

• Fluent English.

Valued Skills

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, GitLab and DevOps.

• Experience with Terraform.

• Experience using GIT or equivalent SCM.

• Knowledge of Typescript/Java/Python.

• Knowledge of major security/compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2).

• Experience with web-based applications.

• Knowledge of Datadog.
