The Quality Coordinator will be responsible for performing various audits to ensure adherence to quality operating systems. Testing of incoming materials, audits of manufacturing processes and ensuring product compliance to established quality standards. This position will report to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for but not limited to:

Responsibilities:

• Maintain & enforce product quality inspection and testing requirements. Including but not limited to incoming raw material testing, color confirmation, and label integrity.

• Foster a robust partnership with the operations team to ensure that focused process monitoring, and improvement initiatives result in built in product quality.

• Coordinate and facilitate operations led rework and process changes necessary to implement quality improvements.

• Create and audit quality standards and quality control systems as required.

• Creates plant specific process instructions, job aids, and standard work as required.

• Utilize and maintain Statistical Process Controls as required to monitor production output and generate reports.

• Update product specification sheets and provide shift level operations team with necessary production documentation.

• Review FAI, in-process, and FG documentation to ensure completeness/compliance.

• Train employees in sorting, rework, and inspection activities.

• Schedule and execute random inspection of in-process and finished goods product to confirm all manufacturing processes and product requirements are met.

• Monitor and report the status of disposition activities related to non-conforming product (quarantine, scrap, rework).

• Maintain, and have available for investigations and reporting, all required paperwork.

• Conduct special test for some parts as per procedures established to meet quality or special property requirements.

• All other duties as assigned.

Expectations:

• Adhere to all safety procedures to help promote a safe, clean work environment.

• Inspect/Monitor processes to ensure assembled parts for conformance to specifications. 


Fixed Schedule:

2/2/3 schedule days 7 AM - 7 PM

Requirements


• Demonstrate excellent skills in verbal and written communications, organization, and attention to detail.

• Knowledge of technical documentation and testing methodologies.

• Self-starter, internally motivated.

• Works independently, or as a member of a team to solve challenges.

• Developed decision making skills.

• 1-3 years in a manufacturing plant, preferably in a quality role.

• Experience with spectrophotometry (X-Rite) a plus.

• Minitab experience a plus

• Computer Skills including Microsoft Office Suite is a must.

• Customer focused (internal and external) and results driven.

• Thrives in a manufacturing, shop floor type environment.

Skills Required
