LGC Clinical Diagnostics develops and manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of catalogue and custom-developed diagnostic quality solutions and component materials for the extended life sciences industry. We partner with IVD assay developers, pharmaceutical, CRO and academic institutions in commercialization activities across the entire diagnostic pipeline. Job Description

Follows standardized procedures and prepares samples for testing. Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits. Relies on limited independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A limited degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Functional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Operation and maintenance (including minor troubleshooting) of automated chemistry analyzers
  • Data entry as well as assessment and interpretation of quality control results
  • Testing production and research & development samples and assessing testing results

Team responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Focus on customer service
  • Problem solving, including ability to reprioritize and adjust workload as needed
  • Working with Production and R&D personnel to ensure efficient use of reagents and analyzers
  • Able to evaluate processes for inefficiencies and suggest improvements
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Associates in Medical Laboratory Science or a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (preferred) or related science degree (i.e. biology, chemistry, biochemistry)
  • 1-3 years working experience in a clinical chemistry lab or equivalent setting
  • Organization and multitasking skills
  • Experienced in use of various software programs
  • Previous working experience with mainstream clinical analyzers from Roche, Siemens, OrthoClinical, Beckman Coulter, or Abbott desired.
