Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform moderately complex electrical and/or mechanical inspections on components, assemblies, and products
to determine compliance with established standards, testing procedures, and specifications.
· Review documentation and test results to ensure accuracy and compliance.
· Utilize knowledge of inspection and participate in processes to solve a wide range of difficult problems for 8D
initiation.
· Use computers and various software applications to input inspection results, access data and inspection
documentation, and prepare reports.
· Practice company policies to maintain quality standards and ensure compliance.
Education, Work Experience, Skills and Competencies Requirements:
· Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience in quality control or inspection.
· Must be proficient in the use of inspection equipment, microscopes, and tools.
· Ability to work with computers to input inspection results, access data and inspection documentation, and
prepare reports.
· Good knowledge of inspection operations, processes, and procedures, engineering change orders (ECOs), IPC
workmanship standards, precision mechanical inspection, and layout inspection.
Certification and Training:
· IPC certified.
· Some understanding of ISO9001 or ISO13485.
· US Citizenship required.
Working Conditions:
· Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
· The person in this position needs to move about the inspection area to perform inspection tasks.
· Constantly operate inspection tools and equipment.
· The ability to communicate accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
· The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
· Periodic ability to push carts with weight of 40 lbs or more.
