As a Quality Control Specialist IV within the Lending and Loan Operations team, you will perform end-to-end quality review and analytical support for lending and loan operations by spreading and analyzing financial statements, processing a broad set of underwriting and collateral documents (including appraisal reports, borrowing base and compliance certificates, mortgage documents, and credit agreements), and abstracting critical data in accordance with established guidelines and service level agreements.

Job responsibilities:

  • Perform analysis of Financial Statements and complete spreading as per the guidelines
  • Process Financial Statements, Appraisal reports, Borrowing Base Certificate, Compliance Certificate, Mortgage documents,  Credit Agreement and abstract critical data
  • Review Loan documents and process transactions as per Service Level Agreement
  • Interpret and understand legal documents pertaining to underwriting and perform due diligence to comply with the lending requirements
  • Performs required research on the received request within stipulated timelines
  • Interpret data, analyze results using bank’s operating systems
  • Follows up on deficient documentation with relevant stake-holders                                         
  • Makes informed decisions regarding the documentation handled    

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting or other business related course
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in Banking/Mortgage/Financial Analysis and Loan Operations
  • Strong verbal & written communication to effectively communicate with various stake-holders and across levels
  • Manage the complex requests with minimum supervision and independently make the decisions related to the process
  • Good understanding of Financial Statements, Lease Agreement, Mortgage documents, Accounts Receivable reporting, Accounts Payable reporting, Rent Rolls Credit Agreement and other loan documents
  • Advanced Excel & MS Access
  • Demonstrate the attributes of flexibility and accountability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively in team environment
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Client relationship and time management                           
  • High level of proficiency in organizing, priority setting, and issues management
