Position Summary:
Supports the manufacturing production operations and obtains Quality through the achievement of “Zero Defects” practices.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields, such as chemical, computer, electrical, or mechanical.
- Devises sampling procedures, and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Establishes a program to evaluate analytical testing, equipment, facilities, precision measurements, accuracy measurements, and performance testing.
- Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material, and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
- Compiles and writes training material and may conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
- Supports all organizational initiatives including Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost.
Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:
- Engineering knowledge
- Mechanical manufacturing methods, procedures and quality
- Time management and prioritization abilities
- Basic programming logic and Microsoft Office
Position Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in quality engineering or a related field.
Experience:
2+ years of quality experience in a production environment
Automotive experience required
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Manufacturing Environment
May lift up to 50 lbs.
Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
