Job Description:
Omnissa is the first AI-driven digital work platform, delivering flexible, secure, work-from-anywhere experiences. We integrate Unified Endpoint Management, Virtual Apps and Desktops, Digital Employee Experience, and Security & Compliance into a seamless, autonomous workspace. Guided by our Core Values—Act in Alignment, Build Trust, Foster Inclusiveness, Drive Efficiency, and Maximize Customer Value—we're growing rapidly and committed to delivering meaningful impact.
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our System Test under R&D. This high-visibility role is designed for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) at the intersection of Customer Success, Product Engineering, and Quality Strategy for the Omnissa Workspace ONE UEM platform. You will validate that our most complex cross-component workflows—including the growing Printer & IoT device management surface—are resilient, secure, and ready for global enterprise scale.
- Customer Flow Orchestration: Lead the “Customer Flow Program” by engaging with Support and Field teams to translate real-world customer use cases into comprehensive validation strategies.
- Quality Strategy & SME Leadership: Define E2E Test Strategies for major features or architectural shifts, acting as the “Quality Gatekeeper” to eliminate blind spots.
- Release Stewardship: Own release readiness for key UEM modules—overseeing test pipelines, risk assessment, and providing “Go/No-Go” technical confidence.
- Continuous Enablement: Create technical playbooks and best-practice guides that empower Support and Solution Engineering teams.
- Strategic Automation Advocacy: Influence the automation roadmap, leveraging AI-assisted tools and ensuring frameworks reflect real customer workflows.
- Printer & IoT Fleet Validation: Own end-to-end quality for Workspace ONE's Printer & IoT device management capabilities across both the legacy connector model and the modern MQTT/AWS IoT architecture, from enrollment through decommissioning.
- UEM/MDM Depth: Deep architectural understanding of platforms like Workspace ONE, Intune, or JAMF—enrollment pipelines, policy engines, compliance state machines, certificate lifecycle, and OS-level MDM protocols.
- Solution Mindset: Ability to understand how identity, endpoint security, and network configurations interact in hybrid-cloud environments.
- Cross-Functional Influence: Track record of embedding testability and observability into product architecture during design.
- Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong RCA skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both developers and customers.
Printer & IoT Management — Role-Specific Skills
- Enrollment & MQTT Provisioning: Ability to validate printer enrollment via ZPL/OEM provisioning files and MQTT-based staging workflows across manufacturers (e.g., Zebra, and emerging support for Bixolon, Brother, Epson, Honeywell), including auto-discovery and bulk/wireless enrollment scenarios.
- Certificate Lifecycle Testing: Experience validating device certificate issuance, auto-renewal against a configured Certificate Authority, delivery via AWS IoT, and revocation during un-enrollment (enterprise wipe) flows.
- Firmware Management Validation: Ability to test firmware push/pull workflows delivered through MQTT or OEM connectors, including OTA-style updates that replace manual OEM tools (e.g., Zebra PPME).
- Connector-to-MQTT Migration Testing: Familiarity with validating parity and migration paths between the legacy per-OEM connector architecture and the newer MQTT-based model, including device list view migration and backward compatibility.
- Telemetry & Alerting Pipeline QA: Ability to verify printer/IoT device data (status, firmware version, error states, consumables) flows correctly into Workspace ONE Intelligence via the ETL pipeline, and that resulting alerts and dashboards are accurate.
- Sampling, Check-In & Escalation Readiness: Understanding of scheduled sampling/check-in sync flows and ability to validate and collect escalation artifacts (device-side logs, IoT service logs, broker logs) for troubleshooting.
- 8+ years in hands-on engineering roles (Quality, Platform, Systems Engineering, or Solutions Architecture) in End-User Computing or enterprise SaaS.
- Leadership experience mentoring others and driving quality initiatives across teams.
- Curiosity & Systems Thinking with a drive to understand how things work end-to-end.
- Supportive leadership prioritizing clarity, empathy, and growth.
- Impactful work shaping modern management for millions of devices globally, including the fast-growing printer and IoT device fleet.
- Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and a culture rewarding technical excellence.
Location: India (Bangalore) | Type: Remote / Hybrid / Onsite | Travel: Yes
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
