Quality Assurance Tester ( SC Cleared )

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Tester (QAT) with recent, hands-on experience testing web applications to join our delivery team working on public sector digital services.

You will work closely with developers throughout the Service Delivery Lifecycle, from backlog refinement and acceptance criteria through to release. You will take ownership of quality at feature level, build and maintain robust test automation, and contribute to test strategy and planning across the delivery lifecycle.

This is a hands-on testing role. We are looking for someone who is actively testing features day to day and is comfortable working collaboratively with developers within an Agile delivery environment.

• Test web application features end to end, from backlog refinement and acceptance criteria through to release.
  
• Collaborate closely with developers throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  
• Contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies from a quality perspective.
  
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites.
  
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality checks.
  
• Define and own test strategies and test plans for web-based services.
  
• Identify testing risks and potential quality issues early in the delivery process.
  
• Raise, manage, and track defects through to resolution.
  
• Promote best practices around testability, code quality, and test coverage.
  
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes and practices within the delivery team.
  

We are looking for candidates with:

• Recent, hands-on experience testing web applications, including feature-level testing.
  
• Proven experience working closely with developers from refinement through to release.
  
• Strong test automation skills and good programming ability.
  
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
  
• Strong understanding of web development and the Service Delivery Lifecycle.
  
• Strong experience in test strategy, planning, and execution.
  
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  

• Experience working with Python.
  
• Experience with Django.
  
• Experience testing public sector or large-scale digital services.
  
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
