Job DescriptionAs QA Test Manager, you will provide the strategic direction, best practice, and road map for achieving desired outcomes. You will bring an understanding of the direction testing is taking within the context of Agile teams and DevSecOps and how it is best applied within a business services context.
Within this role you'll help to lead future test strategy as part of a change program working with both Senior Engineering and Senior Architects from across the business.
On a daily basis you will work with the Development teams and technical leads to help to lead the approach and best practise within our development teams.
This is a Hybrid Nottingham-based role reporting to the Delivery Director.
Important Responsibilities:
- Direct the development of the Test strategy, methodology, and framework.
- Focus on an Automate first approach and integration with Modern DevSec Ops practises.
- Provide leadership and technical expertise within functional and non-functional Test Automation and Testing
- Define QA strategy standards and implementation in development projects.
- Define metrics and important testing goals to ensure agreement to the Global strategy
- Mentor, and provide guidance to the QA automation developers and managers, across multiple projects, offshore and in-house.
- Ensure that the development teams follow the principles, guidelines and best practices of the QA strategy as defined.
- Work with QA Engineering and Architecture figureheads to develop QA strategies to meet department and corporate quality goals.
- Be an advocate of Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement and industry recognized best practises.
- Automation-focused test management and strategy experience.
- Familiarity with common tooling such as Bruno, Postman, Virtuoso, Playwright, Cucumber, SOAP UI, JMeter
- Experience managing a globally distributed team
- Experience developing and mentoring team members to help them learn new skills.
- ISTQB / ISEB Testing Certified or equivalent experience
