We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to join our dynamic team and play a critical role in maintaining product excellence across our supply chain. You will be responsible for ensuring all incoming shipments meet required quality standards and that accurate inspection reports are completed and communicated promptly.

This role involves monitoring inventory quality, identifying product risks, coordinating inspections, maintaining detailed records, and collaborating closely with Supply Chain teams to ensure products are allocated according to quality performance.

Inventory & Quality Control

  • Inspect incoming product and identify pallets requiring immediate attention
  • Ensure quality issues are reported and blocked in the system until resolved
  • Maintain quality reports for arrivals, outbound orders, claims, and aged inventory
  • Ensure growers receive inspection reports within 24 hours
  • Coordinate inspections with quality teams and communicate updates

Tracking & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate inspection records and issue tracking
  • Monitor concerns identified at source and coordinate follow-up inspections

Claims Management

  • Track and upload all quality-related claims and documentation
  • Coordinate surveyor inspections with warehouse and supply chain teams

Repacks & Reprocessing

  • Work with Supply Chain teams to coordinate repack or reprocessing activities when required

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and present operational reports including: Quality-on-arrival performance by grower, claims and arrival issue summaries, inventory ageing reports, repack and reprocessing performance analysis

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within the produce/fresh fruit industry
  • Open for people based in New Jersey, Philadelphia and Delaware area. Inspection of the fruit is done in our Warehouse Coldrooms. 

Experience with:

  • Fresh fruit handling and packing operations
  • Quality inspections
  • Inventory control processes
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel between sites when required
  • Ability to work in cold storage environments

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of produce quality standards and customer specifications
    Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)
  • Experience analyzing data and preparing reports
  • ERP or inventory management system experience advantageous
  • Bilingual English & Spanish (required)
