This position’s home office will be located in Council Bluffs, IA , supporting several Iowa and Texas locations. Travel to our Iowa and Texas territories is expected. Frequency of travel is dependent on the area locations QA needs/support.

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance and quality aspects of service delivery. This position assists our Quality Assurance team to ensure Hands of Heartland is providing the best possible support to those receiving services and consistent, accurate, documentation of those support activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor the adherence to current state licensing and certification rules and regulations, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Conduct quality assurance audits, presenting outcomes and recommendations for improvements to management.
- Manage complaints and risk-related issues, promoting positive, timely resolutions.
- Make site visits to ensure quality and implementation of IDD services.
- Ensure that quality and professionalism of all agency programs are maintained.
- Assist in the production of periodic written reports to review identified needs and/or recommendations for quality assurance.
- Assist in assessing and developing training curriculum for staff of all levels to ensure delivery of quality services.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with outside agencies to facilitate the appropriate use of program services.

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma
- One to three years' experience in quality assurance or compliance related field
- Must have a valid driver's license and clear driving record
- Must be able to pass all background checks
- Must be at least 18 years old
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Must possess well developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all levels of staff within the organization.
- Must be highly organized and responsive to immediate needs.
- Must have sufficient knowledge of computer systems (Word, Excel and Outlook) to develop and maintain necessary programs to support quality assurance activities.
Skills Required
- High School Diploma
