Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances, customer complaints, and field failures.
- Manage the CAPA and NCR process, including investigation, documentation, and follow-up.
- Perform incoming and in-process inspections, including first article inspections (FAI).
- Conduct failure analysis and provide recommendations for design improvements.
- Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues and improve supplier performance.
- Conduct data analysis of problem logs and report on trends & needed improvements to multiple levels of management.
- Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on quality requirements and risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, and ITAR.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance quality, reduce cost, and improve efficiency.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Two plus (2+) years of experience with Quality Assurance in the Engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of CAPA, NCR, ruggedized devices, advanced electronics, SMT, FAI, failure analysis, and customer quality.
- Experience with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
- Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and drive for continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent verbal and written communication; capable of building strong internal and external relationships.
- Highly competitive and self-motivated with the ability to “make it happen”.
- Time management, decision-making, and organizational skills capable of handling a demanding workload yet meeting positional and company objectives under pressure.
