Job Summary

To develop and implement quality controls in operational activities to confirm quality assurance pertaining to processes and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to improve risk practices and ensure the integrity and security of the banks operations.

Job Description

  • Conduct regular process assessments by checking all prescribed actions as outlined in the Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines.
  • Record in detail any deviations / errors to processes on set check sheets.
  • Conduct system assessments to ensure that adopted quality practices, procedures and standards are entrenched within Records Management to support the business drive
  • Ensure that once an error is fixed, the item is re-assessed to ensure that all concerns were addressed.
  • Conduct random quality assurance checks within Risk and rate it against a predefined standard process, strategy or Policy rule.
  • Conduct monthly calibration sessions with Team Leaders and Managers of the various governance and control forums to ensure consistency in assessments.
  • Summarize the results of internal and external audits related to quality assurance and governance.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis on all CPAs and provide input in a documented report format in accordance to set quality standards.
  • Recommend formal coaching sessions where issues have been identified in terms of their set standards.-
  • Deliver regular communication and presentations to department with regards to quality assurance.
  • Participate in formal review of the Quality Assurance processes and formulate recommendations on how to enhance service delivery.
  • Conduct random audits and checks on to ensure compliance to standards and other Policy requirements
  • Ensure that all Risk Compliance Assessments assigned to you are committed timely according to the stipulated intervals.
  • Understand and apply the relevant governance and compliance procedures to activities undertaken and maintain ongoing completion of relevant governance and compliance training.
  • Provide quality control on items processed and ensure 100% quality maintained.
  • Review governance-related controls, risk mitigation strategies and audit findings
  • Maintain records for all Sample reports and quality assurance activities as well as analyse trends of emerging risks

Education and experience required

  • Bachelors Degree in Risk Management
  •  (4-5 years) years governance experience in Banking
  •  Enterprise Risk Management Certificate
