About the team
QCS (Quality and Customer Satisfaction) is responsible for assuring the quality of operational activities (such as bids, projects, products and services) and supporting the maturity growth and performance improvement of the organisation. We do this to improve customer satisfaction and to drive competitiveness.
QCS enhances the ownership of operational teams for the quality of their output and strengthens the learning, improvement and problem-solving capabilities of these teams. QCS develops the maturity of the organisation as a whole by leveraging operational best practices and provides an independent view on operational performance to senior management.
About your future job
As a QAM, you contribute to bids, projects and products through assuring the quality thereof and motivating, coaching and supporting the relevant teams in execution of their tasks in line with relevant processes/governance, risk and opportunity management and problem solving.
Engineering focus of the role
This QAM position is primarily focused on the Engineering domain. You will operate in the context of systems engineering, hardware and software development, and technical product development.
Safeguard and improve engineering development processes
Ensure compliance with engineering standards and lifecycle processes
Oversee design review, verification & validation activities and technical governance
Drive continuous improvement within engineering (projects)
Ensure that engineering deliverables meet both technical and non-technical requirements
You will have autonomy to fulfil your activities while maintaining the perspective of the customer and ensure that products, systems and processes meet the highest quality standards.
In addition, you will be involved in (transversal) problem solving and Root Cause Analysis, internal assessments and other improvement initiatives. Training in tools and practices will explicitly be part of your onboarding program and personal development
Why you'd be a good match
Bachelor or Master degree in technology, engineering and/or (business) management.
Profound interest in risks, processes, quality, problem solving and improvement.
Strong knowledge of Engineering process steps (Hardware and Software lifecycle).
Experience with Agile Software development.
An analytical thinker with an open and curious mind and excellent communication and writing skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic, complex and multi-national environment wherein you connect with and influence various stakeholders in order to create (quality) awareness and challenge the status quo.
Ability to collaborate with colleagues and teams in all layers of our organization.
