About Your Business Area/Department :

Amadeus Business Rules (ABR) is a Mission Critical Application that creates generic rules covering most of internal application needs, and specific rules covering very specific cases (i.e. the exceptions to the generic rules).

Our team is getting part of the tech strategy and evolution of the company. It demands a strong engineering view of the system to achieve the best results of performance, scalability and integration on cloud.

Summary  of the role:

You will be involved in requirement understanding, Test Plan creation, scripting, validation and signoff of change requests. As a QA Engineer you will automate the test iterations using Python Scripting language and internal dashboards.

Interpersonal communications with cross-functional teams around the world is a key factor to identify, process and validate issues in the product.

In this role you’ll:

  • Ensure the sustainable evolution of the solution                              
  • Release Management
  • Follow the lifecycle of the new releases
  • Execute the regression campaigns
  • Provide reports
  • Share global status on the release                             
  • Problem Fixing and Tracking Records
  • Provide Information to developers to fix defects
  • Validation of defect fix and sign off to load Production PTRs
  • Document software defects               
  • Test implementation
  • Specification reviews to provide input on testability requirements
  • Test cases analysis and design from customer’s requirements and traceability with specifications
  • Test cases implementation, execution, and automatization using scripts
  • Maintenance and enhancement of the regression
  • Customer support
  • Be the entry point when users face issues
  • Investigate the issues and provide clear information to the developer team to reproduce the error
  • Provide functional support to the users 

About the ideal candidate:

Specific competencies

Technical skills and know-how based on our technical skills:

  • Knowledge in programming languages for test automation. Java or Python
  • Experience in data interchange formats like XML, JSON or EDIFACT
  • Experience on backend systems
  • Knowledge on automated testing frameworks like Selenium or playwright
  • Knowledge about Jira
  • Knowledge about cloud environments (e.g. Azure)
  • A collaborative and proactive approach:
  • The capability to work in a multicultural, global environment
  • Good relational skills and team spirit
  • Keen at learning new technologies: curiosity and openness are a must
  • Great problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and solve issues before they evolve into big incidents
  • Embracing agile methodologies and SAFe
  • University degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish and English (Proficient level in English)
