Your Title: Junior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Location: Ukraine , Remote

The Manual Quality Assurance Engineer monitors every phase of the software development process so as to ensure design quality, making sure that the software adheres to the standards set by the company.

Reports to: QA Engineer Team Lead/ Head of Freight Audit IT

Core responsibilities:

• Monitoring every phase of the software development process to ensure design quality;

• Making sure that the software adheres to the standards set by the company;

• Assuring quality of requirements, delivered products and compliance of project processes;

• Performing manual testing on various test levels (integration, system, acceptance);

• Executing various test types (functional, basic performance, usability, security, regression, smoke, sanity etc.)

• Communicating closely with all members of the development team in order to find appropriate and timely solutions

• Analyze and report results of testing: test reports, defects;

• Track defects to closure;

• Maintain test environment and data;

• Creating and maintaining the testing documentation: test cases, check lists.

Qualifications:                                                                        

• 1+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance and/or software testing;

• Have good knowledge of testing principles, methods and test design techniques;

• Have deep understanding of SDLC and testing processes;

• Know test documentation development principles and methods;

• Understanding of SQL and hands-on experience using one of the RDBMS;

• Experience with XML, JSON, Web Services/REST, SQL (SELECT, UPDATE, JOINS), network protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, SMTP);

• Have experience using API testing tool (e.g. Postman);

• Have experience using issue-tracking tool (e.g. JIRA);

• Acquainted with CI (Jenkins), version control (GIT) will be a plus;

• Acquainted with Basic Linux commands will be a plus;

• Know English language on Intermediate level or higher.
