A ServiceNow Quality Assurance (QA) professional will be responsible for ensuring that all deliverables (via Enhancements, Defects Configuration Items or other project deliverables) meet defined quality standards, user expectations, and business requirements before release. They will achieve this through structured automated and manual testing, defect identification, and collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle
RESPONSABILITIES
Test Planning & Execution
- Develop, design, and execute manual and automated test cases
- Create test plans based on requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing as needed for all ServiceNow releases
- Defect Identification & Resolution
- Identify and/or validate defects found during all levels of testing (to include UAT)
- Ensure defects are appropriately assigned back to development team for resolution
- Perform root cause analysis and validate fix actions once defects are resolved
- Collaboration & Requirement Validation
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand testing needs of release deliverables
- Review requirements and ensure they are testable and complete
- Provide feedback on usability, performance, and functionality
- Automation & Continuous Testing
- Build and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
- Improve test coverage and testing efficiency through automation
- Quality Monitoring & Reporting
- Track quality metrics, test results, and defect trends
- Communicate testing progress and risks to stakeholders
- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases and results
- Process Improvement
- Identify gaps in testing or delivery processes
- Recommend improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency
- Promote a culture of quality across the development lifecycle
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
- Entry-level: 0 – 2 years in QA/testing or related experience
- Mid-level: 2 – 4+ years designing tests and working in Agile environments
- Technical Skills
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies (manual + automation)
- Experience with testing tools
- Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices
- Ability to write test cases, scripts, and documentation
- Experience with the ServiceNow platform
- ServiceNow CSA certification required within first 6-12 months of starting position
- Agile Experience; working in Scaled Agile environment with distributed teams is preferred
