Position Summary:
Contributing to the delivery of high-quality software solutions as well as maintaining existing solutions. The role will ensure the quality and reliability of products and software developed by the organization, oversee and execute the testing process for complex projects, drive continuous improvement in quality assurance practices, collaborate across teams, mentor junior QA engineers, and contribute to the design and implementation of testing strategies. It will also ensure excellence throughout the organization, safeguard customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement in the development process.
Essential Job Functions “What You’ll Do”:
- Develops and executes test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex software projects.
- Executes automated tests and analyzes results for accuracy and reliability.
- Executes test cases, performing functional, regression, API, SLA contract (consumer, producer), and integration, performance, stress, and soak testing.
- Performs peer code reviews for automation scripts.
- Uses advanced testing techniques to uncover complex issues and edge cases.
- Identifies testing dependencies and risks and designs mitigation strategies.
- Identifies the critical details and prioritizes incremental delivery.
- Leads and coordinates testing efforts for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Drives the implementation and maintenance of test automation frameworks and tools.
- Develops and maintains automated test scripts to increase test coverage and efficiency.
- Analyzes and triages defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Identifies root causes of defects and provides feedback to prevent similar issues in the future.
- Provides support for issue resolution and critical production bug fixes.
- Provides input and contributes to monitoring & alerting requirements.
- Documents, tracks, and manages defects throughout the testing process.
- Creates and maintains detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
- Generates comprehensive test summary reports for stakeholders and management.
- Champions continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the QA process and product quality.
- Proposes and implements best practices for testing methodologies and tools.
- Evaluates and integrates emerging QA technologies and tools to improve efficiency.
- Works closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of identified defects.
- Collaborates with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and quality expectations.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to facilitate effective communication and resolve testing challenges.
Essential Qualifications “What You’ll Need”:
3-4 years experience on the following:
- Selenium or equivalent
- coding experience as an automated QA
- AWS hands-on experience
- manual/automation software quality engineer/tester with a focus on web-based applications
- testing complex software system
- B2B SaaS enterprise applications with a large user base
- mobile and/or desktop application testing
- testing services written in Golang or Java making use of Snowflake PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS
- testing services application created with Core Java (JVM, collections, generics, functional programming…), Spring Framework and associated projects (Boot, Core, Data…)
- testing micro-service backend architecture
- testing applications written in Reactjs, Typescript, Redux, AWS
- exposure to NextJS framework
- testing micro-frontend architecture
