The Opportunity

Our client, a local government organization, seeks an experienced Quality Assurance and Training Lead to join their Information Technology Department. The Quality Assurance and Training Lead is responsible for coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and overseeing training initiatives for stakeholders involved in the Court Case Management System project. This role requires working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure testing processes meet project timelines, as well as developing training programs tailored to different user groups.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

UAT Coordination:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive UAT plans aligned with project schedules and stakeholder expectations.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify test scenarios, cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate UAT sessions and guide users through testing processes.
  • Analyze UAT results, identify issues, and collaborate with development teams for resolutions.
  • Prepare UAT documentation and reports for stakeholder review.


Training Development:

  • Assess the training needs of various user groups and design tailored training programs.
  • Create training materials, including guides, presentations, and e-learning modules.
  • Conduct training sessions (in-person and virtual) to equip users with the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from participants to improve training programs.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in training methodologies.


Collaboration & Communication:

  • Serve as a liaison between users, product managers, developers, and technical teams.
  • Organize user feedback sessions and workshops to collect insights for product improvements.
  • Ensure clear communication of requirements and feedback between users and technical teams.

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $84,700 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful candidate has the following experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a focus on software development.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in UAT, training, or similar roles in IT projects.
  • Strong understanding of UAT methodologies and testing processes.
  • Proficient in developing training content and delivering training sessions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with test management software and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Quality Assurance or Training (e.g., ISTQB, ATD).
  • Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience working on government IT projects.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps is a plus.
