We own the IT applications and infrastructure supporting the Comcast Business serving large scale enterprise customers, mid market, small and medium business. Job Summary We are seeking an entry-level Manual/Automation Tester with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn test automation. The ideal candidate will support manual testing, regression execution, and release validation while gaining exposure to automation frameworks and quality engineering practices. In this role, you will work under close guidance on well-defined testing tasks and contribute to the quality of software releases through manual validation, test execution, and defect reporting.
Job Description
As part of the Comcast Business IT (BIT) organization, you will collaborate with developers, testers, and stakeholders to support testing activities across the software delivery lifecycle. You will help ensure features are validated, defects are identified early, and releases are verified with confidence.
Quality Engineering and Testing
Manual Testing
- Execute manual test cases for new features, enhancements, and defect fixes.
- Validate expected behavior across UI, workflow, and functional scenarios.
- Support smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing as needed.
Regression and Release Testing
- Run regression suites to verify critical workflows and release readiness.
- Assist with release testing before deployment to QA or production.
- Document test results, issues, and coverage gaps clearly.
Automation Support
- Assist in maintaining automated test assets under guidance.
- Learn and contribute to ATF, Bruno collections, and golden regression test suite buildout.
- Support updates to reusable test cases and validation scripts.
Collaboration and Defect Support
- Work with developers and senior testers to triage defects.
- Provide clear evidence, logs, and reproduction steps for failed tests.
- Help improve test coverage and reduce repeated manual effort.
Documentation and Learning
- Document test execution steps, findings, and known issues.
- Follow team testing standards, naming conventions, and release processes.
- Continue building knowledge of ServiceNow testing, automation, and QA best practices.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
- 0-2 year of experience in QA, testing, or software support.
- Basic understanding of manual testing and defect reporting.
- Exposure to test automation, ATF, API testing, or Bruno collections is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile practices and software release cycles.
- Strong willingness to learn and grow in quality engineering.
Preferred Certifications
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification is a plus.
- ServiceNow exposure or related testing experience is a bonus.
