Software Developer in Test II - Wi-Fi

The QNX Vertical Platform products are the foundation to build next generation automotive infotainment systems and safety systems such as autonomous drive targeted at all major OEMs across North America, Europe, and Asia.

The QNX Vertical Platforms are complete, integrated and tested automotive software stacks including low-level embedded OS and drivers, middleware, and application frameworks. The QNX Vertical Platforms are built using QNX Safety certified real-time embedded OS and Safety certified Hypervisor allowing multiple application environments on an integrated high-end chipset. Technologies include multimedia, navigation, voice recognition, graphics, browser, Bluetooth, audio, and smart phone connectivity. The QNX Test Team is looking for a Software Tester to support system level integration, create and execute tests supporting internal development and customer activities with focus on the following:

You will have:

· Hands-on integration, system & Automation testing of Wi-Fi software.

· Work with concept team to evaluate and prototype new system configurations.

· Work with developers to investigate and resolve reported problems and provide interim testing support for experimental software.

· Create or update test plans and test cases based on product requirements, customer requirements or identified problems.

· Develop Wi-Fi automation scripts to build a test suite for Sanity testing.

· Run a series of tests against new software loads on reference or customer hardware and analyzes the results.

· Create test reports based on test results for internal and external audiences.

· Work with partners to resolve software/ hardware integration issues.

· Follow and ensure compliance to workplace operating and environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines.

Essential Skills & experience:

· Senior level experience in Wi-Fi software testing and integration

· Hands-on Wi-Fi configuration, integration, system test & Automation of required combinations

· Extensive experience in testing functional areas of 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax(e)

· Hands on experience in Wi-Fi STA/P2P/AP functional & Performance testing

· Extensive experience in development/design of detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases, test cases documentation and execution.

· Experience and expertise in bring up of Wi-Fi test set ups.

· Cross platform knowledge related to Wi-Fi on Windows, Linux, android and iPhone.

· Experience in Python script development and Wi-Fi framework development is must. Experience in OOPS.

· Having knowledge in the below areas is an added advantage.

o 802.11be/bn, Android platform, WFA Certification, BT/BLE, Wi-Fi roaming amendments

· Familiar with source versioning, problem reporting and constant integration systems (SVN, Git, JIRA, Jenkins)

· Able to write clear and concise problem reports.

· Ability to work and participate in a team setting with an open, collaborative communication style.

· Knowledge of formal test theory, test methodology, and experience in developing automated tests and testing tools

· Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills are necessary.

· Enthusiasm, a passion for quality and a desire to learn about new technologies is a requirement!
