Position Summary:

The Receiving & Electrical Site QA/QC Inspector is responsible for overseeing incoming material and equipment deliveries while also performing field quality inspections of electrical construction activities. This dual-role position ensures that materials meet project quality requirements prior to release and that installed electrical work complies with project specifications, approved drawings, applicable codes, and quality standards. The role works closely with Logistics, warehouse teams, field personnel, and the QA/QC Manager to maintain accurate receiving records, support material traceability, document installations, track deficiencies, and uphold overall project quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform receiving inspections for incoming equipment and materials, documenting delivery conditions with detailed photographs and retaining packing slips.
- Inspect materials/equipment for damage, incorrect quantities, improper labeling, shipping discrepancies, and visible quality defects.
- Generate and report nonconformance findings for damaged or nonconforming materials; coordinate with vendors, logistics, and project teams on resolutions.
- Tag, label, identify, and coordinate quarantine/hold areas for rejected or damaged materials.
- Assist with inventory verification, material tracking, and project closeout documentation related to receiving records.
- Perform daily field inspections of installed electrical work across all electrical construction scopes.
- Verify installations comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.
- Complete insulation resistance reports, equipment setting inspection checklists, torque reports, and other required QA/QC documentation accurately and timely.
- Document installation progress, deficiencies, and nonconforming work using photographs and field reports.
- Ensure all QA/QC documentation is properly uploaded and maintained in project systems (Procore, SharePoint, etc.).
- Support commissioning, pre-functional inspections, electrical energization activities, and Request to Energize (RTE) processes as directed.
- Participate in quality meetings, walkthroughs, and assist in maintaining project readiness for audits, turnover, and final acceptance.
Qualifications:
- Experience in QA/QC inspection, receiving, warehouse operations, or construction/material inspection preferred.
- Experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or data center construction environments strongly preferred.
- Ability to read packing slips, material lists, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Familiarity with Procore, SharePoint, or similar quality/document control systems preferred. (REQUIRED)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and photo documentation).
- Ability to use an iPad
- Ability to communicate professionally with vendors, field personnel, project teams, and management.
- OSHA 10 and NFPA 70E certifications preferred
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of material handling, storage requirements, and nonconformance reporting processes.
- Experience with quality documentation, inspection workflows, testing procedures, and construction codes/standards.
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment identification.
- Forklift experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in warehouse, onsite laydown yards, and active construction environments (indoor and outdoor).
- Ability to lift and move materials within reasonable limits.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, access elevated areas, and navigate uneven terrain for extended periods.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required by project schedules.
