Position Overview:


The QA Support Team Member is responsible for supporting the food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance programs at Monogram Foods Bristol. This role performs product inspections, audits, documentation reviews, and verification activities to ensure products meet customer specifications, USDA requirements, company standards, and food safety expectations.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct product quality inspections throughout all phases of production.
  • Monitor production processes to verify compliance with product specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform GMP, food safety, sanitation, allergen, and operational audits.
  • Verify and document critical quality control checks.
  • Accurately complete quality records, inspection reports, logs, and electronic documentation.
  • Support product hold, release, and disposition activities.
  • Assist with investigations involving quality concerns, customer complaints, product deviations, or food safety issues.
  • Verify compliance with HACCP, SQF, GMP, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate quality and food safety concerns to Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Leadership teams.
  • Support internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Assist with environmental monitoring, verification activities, and food safety programs as assigned.
  • Ensure proper product identification, traceability, and lot control procedures are followed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve food safety, quality, and operational performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Quality Assurance leadership.
  • Food Safety is a primary responsibility of this position.
  • The QA Support Team Member must:
  • Follow all Monogram Foods Food Safety and Quality programs.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, SQF, GMP, allergen control, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and immediately report food safety concerns, foreign material risks, contamination risks, or process deviations.
  • Monitor compliance with product specifications and food safety controls.
  • Support corrective action and preventative action programs.
  • Maintain accurate and legible records in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Protect product integrity through proper handling, storage, and inspection procedures.
  • Support product traceability and recall readiness programs.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and data-entry systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple departments.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, food safety systems, and sanitation programs.

The physical requirements listed below are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, twist, climb stairs, and reach.
  • Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Work in production, warehouse, cooler, and freezer environments.
  • Perform repetitive tasks and visual inspections throughout the shift.
  • Use computers, tablets, measuring devices, and inspection equipment.
  • Possess sufficient vision, color recognition, depth perception, and hand-eye coordination to perform quality inspections accurately.
  • Work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as business needs require.
