Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support the quality assurance, testing, and validation of large-scale, business-critical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing testing strategies, test plans, test cases, automation scripts, accessibility testing, data validation, and quality assurance activities throughout the software development lifecycle.

This role requires strong expertise in manual and automated testing, data reconciliation, accessibility compliance, test planning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on testing strategies, test plans, testing tools, and testing resource requirements.
  • Plan and organize testing efforts for large systems across GUI and non-GUI environments.
  • Execute systems integration testing, specialized testing, user acceptance testing, stress testing, and other testing activities.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test scripts, test cases, and expected results.
  • Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and acceptance testing.
  • Validate system behavior under various business and technical scenarios.
  • Identify, document, track, and support resolution of software defects.
  • Work closely with developers and project teams to reproduce and resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Conduct performance, stress, and load testing.
  • Perform data validation, data reconciliation, migration testing, and transformation testing.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across systems and databases.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality objectives are met.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain comprehensive test documentation, quality metrics, and testing records.
  • Contribute to user manuals and release documentation.
  • Ensure testing activities comply with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Support accessibility testing activities aligned with AODA and WCAG standards.

Required Qualifications

Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Experience planning, organizing, and implementing testing efforts for large, complex systems.
  • Experience developing testing strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data.
  • Experience executing manual testing activities and data reconciliation activities.
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance best practices, methodologies, and testing frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience with functional, non-functional, integration, regression, performance, and acceptance testing.
  • Experience conducting accessibility testing in alignment with AODA (WCAG 2.0 AA).

Technical Skills

  • Experience with automated testing tools and version control systems.
  • Experience using defect and test management tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, ALM, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Postman, UFT, TestComplete, or equivalent solutions.
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes and automated test integration.
  • Strong data validation and backend testing experience.
  • Ability to write database queries for testing and verification purposes.
  • Experience with web-based three-tier software platforms.
  • Knowledge of workflow and portfolio management solutions.
  • Experience testing both custom-developed and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications.
  • Knowledge of Oracle database tools.
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing tools such as WAVE, JAWS, NVDA, and Compliance Sheriff.
  • Understanding of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Bash.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.

Methodology & Process

  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and SDLC methodologies.
  • Experience applying structured testing methodologies in enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of software development and software testing life cycles.

Work Arrangement
