The QA/QC Engineer is responsible
for:
- Preparing, checking and adjusting, scanning and filing QAQC forms
- Maintaining and updating QAQC tracking spreadsheets on SharePoint site
- Preparing Shift Progress Reports for allocated work crew (Civils,
drilling or anchor fabrication)
- Preparing and overseeing the quality control and quality insurance
staff, ensuring the proper implementation of the agreed quality policy.
- Preparing daily other site activity forms or reports.
- Communicating progress on a constant basis, in
particular equipment or labour down time and reasons.
Requirements
- Tertiary
education to a minimum of National Diploma level, preferably in Civil
Engineering.
- Practical
on-site industrial experience, in a similar QAQC or Site Engineer role with a
construction company with a minimum 4 years.
- Completion
of a Pre-employment Medical and Police Check
- Experience in quality
management (preferably resource/construction industry)
- Experience conducting
inspections to specified requirements.
- Knowledge of Australian and international
standards and codes
- Fluent English speaker. Clear confident
verbal communicator.
- Self-starter, requiring
limited supervision, willing to learn and contribute.
- Good IT competence and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively interact and work with a range of people, skills
and roles.
- Ability to investigate issues and develop solutions to overcome construction
problems.
- An inquisitive nature and an eye for detail.
- A demonstrated commitment and understanding of
construction health, safety and environmental performance.
- Able to commit to working away from home on a
roster basis
