Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Inspection: Oversee receipt, in-process, and final inspections for service center equipment; ensure compliance with ASME, ISO, and regional standards; manage traceability and conduct hydrostatic, leak, and dimensional tests.
ASME & Code Compliance: Maintain ASME Quality System (U, Rstamps); coordinate with Authorized Inspectors; ensure audit-ready documentation and calibration records.
Process & Product Assurance: Lead NCR investigations using RCA methods; drive CAPA closure; support internal and supplier audits; maintain instrument calibration.
Supplier Quality Oversight: Audit suppliers/subcontractors for machining, welding, and coating; verify compliance with drawings and ASME codes; manage NCRs and quality alerts.
Documentation & Customer Interface: Prepare inspection reports and quality dossiers; support customer inspections and FATs; ensure timely submission of certificates and participate in technical meetings.
Continuous Improvement & HSE: Develop SOPs and quality playbooks; implement 5S and Kaizen initiatives; ensure HSE compliance during inspections; collaborate to reduce rework.
Team Support: Assist Service Center team with daily coordination and quality-related activities.
Deliverables
Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Control Records per job. ASME & ISO Documentation: traveler sheets, inspection reports, material traceability logs. HSE compliance across all Service Center activities. Calibration Register & Test Equipment Database. Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Tracker (CAPA). Final Quality Dossiers (FQDs) and inspection release documentation. Monthly Quality Performance Report and KPI Dashboard. Supplier / Subcontractor Audit Reports and closure status summaries.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
8–10 years’ experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance within pressure equipment, service centers, or heavy engineering environments (preferably in the GCC).
Proven exposure to ASME Section VIII / IX, ISO 9001, and quality system audits.
Experience with Authorized Inspectors (AIs), third-party certification bodies, and ASME documentation.
Knowledge of local authority approvals (e.g., ESMA, SASO, MEWA, ADCD, SABIC
Aramco standards).
Proficiency in welding inspection, NDT (PT/MT/UT), hydrostatic testing, and visual inspection techniques.
Advanced understanding of traceability systems, calibration management, and QMS documentation.
Computer literacy (MS Office, ERP systems, digital inspection tools).
Certification in ASNT Level II, AWS/CWI, or ASME QA is a strong advantage.
