The QA/QC Coordinator will work directly with the project execution and supervision team to ensure that work completed is in accordance with the project specifications.
This position will be field based on a project in the Greater Vancouver area, however as a project-based organization, work assignments are driven by business and project needs. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel, work remotely from their home office, or temporarily relocate to project sites as required to support project pursuits and successful project delivery. Assignments may be located within or outside of the employee's home region, and travel frequency and duration will vary depending on operational and project requirements.What You Will Be Working On
  • Work closely with the project team and trade partners concerning quality and daily inspections.

  • Perform inspections for concreting work including rebar, formwork, embeds, anchor bolts, overall readiness for pours, pouring activities, repairs, etc.

  • Complete other QA inspections for project work scopes (civil, structural steel, roofing, MEP, finishes, etc.)

  • Review and verify test results from 3rd party inspection agencies

  • Review quality documentation from subcontractors

  • Support the project team with the implementation of the Project Quality Plan.

  • Develop written plans and procedures for project specific activities to supplement task planning

  • Generate Non-Conformance Reports when required and coordinate with Bird team, Subcontractors, and Clients for disposition and closure

  • Support the implementation of the deficiency process, conducting walkthroughs with the project team and the trade partners and ensuring the deficiencies are properly tracked

  • Support the team in documenting the projects status through 3D site captures.

Skills Required

  • Experience performing concrete inspections (rebar, formwork, embeds, anchor bolts, readiness for pours, pouring activities, repairs)
  • Experience completing QA inspections for civil, structural steel, roofing, MEP, and finishes
  • Ability to review and verify test results from third-party inspection agencies
  • Experience reviewing quality documentation from subcontractors
  • Experience implementing Project Quality Plans and generating Non-Conformance Reports
  • Ability to develop written plans and procedures for project-specific activities
