Job Summary

As a QA Automation Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing test automation frameworks and strategies across the software development lifecycle. You will lead the automation testing efforts, ensuring high-quality software delivery, while collaborating closely with development and quality assurance teams. Your expertise will help enhance testing efficiency, scalability, and accuracy in identifying issues before product releases.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead the design and implementation of automated test frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation requirements and ensure smooth integration with the development lifecycle.
• Develop automation scripts and maintain them across multiple platforms and environments.
• Ensure that automated tests are comprehensive, reliable, and scalable to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• Conduct code reviews and mentor other automation engineers on best practices and tools.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to development teams, including root cause analysis for failed tests.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to existing test automation frameworks and processes.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and documentation for automation efforts.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging testing tools, technologies, and industry best practices to incorporate into the automation strategy.
• As a principal Automation engineer, you ensure the most optimal solutions for our products & components in accordance with best practices and company security policy by designing, implementing and maintaining appropriate automation tests in the context of functional, performance and scalability testing.
• Your focus is to maintain and enhance the test automation framework of existing test implementations for a multitude of components and technologies (e.g. in Selenide, Gatling, JMeter, Robot framework and others) and to provide consistent reporting.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in QA automation engineering, including at least 2 years in a leadership or architecture role.
• Experience as a QA Engineer - creation of test plans, manual testing, bug tracking (e.g.: JIRA), reproducing and analyzing bugs in internal environments.
• Experience with programming or scripting languages, e.g. GoLang, JavaScript, Java, Bash, Python, Powershell, etc.
• Excellent understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices .
• Deployment scripting with Terraform and Helm charts.
• Experience in test automation – design, creation and execution of automated tests.
• Experience with test tools/frameworks (e.g.: JMeter, Robot framework, Gatling etc.).
• Experience with building GitLab and Jenkins pipelines.
• Experience using DevOps tools (e.g.: Docker, Helm Charts, Kubernetes, Git, Sonar Qube, Snyk, Coverity).
• Experience with Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) & Test Driven Development (TDD).
