The KPA Flex platform helps clients develop a comprehensive EHS program, leveraging technology to instill a culture of safety and maintain a productive workplace. The platform combines features that are tailored to the needs of our client’s business, including audits and inspections, incident management, flexible training, reporting, and insights. 
 
Position Description:
A key initiative for this role is to lead the quality engineering strategy across all platforms (web, iOS, Android), evolve our QA practice from manual testing to automation-first, and establish scalable processes aligned with CI/CD and DevOps principles.As the QA Manager, you will lead a team of both manual and automation engineers. You will shape the performance, scalability, and reliability of our SaaS platform. 
 

Responsibilities:

Strategic Quality Leadership:

  • Quality Strategy Development: Create and implement a comprehensive quality strategy and testing framework that aligns with business objectives and supports continuous integration/deployment practices across three product lines
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Drive quality excellence across 5+ development teams (4-6 members each) through influence, collaboration, and strategic guidance rather than direct authority
  • Quality Standards: Establish enterprise-wide quality standards, processes, and best practices that accommodate both legacy and modern technology stacks
  • Integration Testing Oversight: Lead the strategy and execution of integration testing across products and feature areas to ensure seamless system interactions
  • Drive Automation: Own the automation maturity roadmap to achieve high automated coverage and dramatically reduce manual regression cycles

Quality Management & Measurement:

  • Metrics & KPIs: Define, implement, and monitor key quality metrics including defect density, automated test coverage, MTTR for defects, test effectiveness, and customer-reported defects
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify quality improvement opportunities through data analysis and implement systematic approaches to enhance software quality
  • Root Cause Analysis: Drive comprehensive root cause analysis of quality issues and establish preventive measures to avoid recurrence

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Direct Team Management: Lead a high-impact team of automation engineers and QA Analysts embedded within development teams, growing them into Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs)
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with Engineering, DevOps/Platform, Product, Security and Customer Support teams to ensure quality integration across all software delivery processes
  • Partner with DevOps: Integrate automated tests into CI pipelines and improve feedback loops with failure detection
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical direction in test design, automation patterns, and debugging

Process Innovation & Technology:

  • Test Automation Strategy: Drive test automation initiatives and establish frameworks that support many daily releases
  • Quality Tools & Processes: Evaluate, recommend, and implement quality assurance tools and processes that enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality processes, standards, and lessons learned
  • Set quality gates and pipeline standards enabling faster and safer deployments

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in software quality management, with 3+ years in leadership roles
  • Proven experience leading quality initiatives in scaling SaaS organizations
  • Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks, tools, and best practices (Cypress, Cucumber, Azure Devops Pipelines, Sorry Cypress Dashboard,BrowserStack, etc)
  • Experience with AI automation tooling (Mabl, Rainforest QA, Leapwork, etc)
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of DevOps, shift-left testing, and quality gates
  • Understanding of security testing, performance testing, and other specialized testing domain
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex quality concepts to executive leadership
  • Experience growing QA teams into SDET-oriented organizations
  • Proven track record of implementing quality improvements in fast-paced, high-frequency release environments

Compensation:

  • Annual Base Salary of 130-140k
  • Annual Bonus Opportunity of 15%
