QA Leads for Chicago, IL location. Ensure the testing strategy aligns with business goals so that requirements will be understood in detail. Hold regular meetings with Product owners and business management to outline clear understanding of processes and propose and evaluate strategies. Develop test strategies aligning with business goals and quality standards. Independently create and maintain comprehensive test plans outlining objectives, scope, resources, and timelines for all applicable testing activities for full SDLC. Design test cases specific to critical scenarios and business requirements. Perform data review and evaluation, including Personally Identifiable Information (PII), during duration of multiple projects. Independently develop standards for mismatch process to automate attributes and algorithms calculation results. Oversee automated regression testing, validate software changes and updates, and migration in on-premises and cloud environments. Plan performance testing to evaluate the scalability and responsiveness of attributes calculation. Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with development teams for timely resolution. Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and automated scripts. Guide, train and mentor team members. Technical environment: Java; Python, JavaScript, C++; running on-premises and cloud environments; data structures; data architecture; object-oriented design and programming, multi-threaded architecture; infrastructure automation tools (terraform, AWS cloud formation); Grafana, Prometheus, AWS cloud watch; cloud-based applications, AWS; Jenkins/Cloudbee; CI/CD pipeline; automated & manual testing; Cucumber/Serenity Testing; JMeter; APIs; SaaS; monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, AWS cloud watch); manual, automated performance testing to evaluate the scalability and responsiveness.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Technology or any Engineering or related field plus five years of progressive experience as an Engineer or Sr. Analyst or in software development or software quality assurance testing required. Required skills: creating comprehensive test plans & automation test development for full software development lifecycle testing (front- & back-end); designing test cases from scratch including for mismatch processes using python; automated regression testing to validate software changes & updates without compromising existing functionalities; leverage infrastructure automation tools (terraform, AWS cloud formation) to provision & manage cloud test environments; monitoring health & performance of cloud-based applications in real time using Grafana, Prometheus, AWS cloud watch; migrating testcases and testing framework for Jenkins/Cloudbee; manual, automated performance testing to evaluate scalability and responsiveness; analyzing root cause for defects, ensure timely resolution, maintaining documentation; data evaluation (including PII) for multiple projects; experience running & migrating on-premises and cloud environments; object oriented design and programming, multi-threaded architecture; automated & manual testing.
